Bio

Coach Williams is in his first season with the Bobcats after spending one year at Lakeland Community College as an assistant coach in 2018-19. Williams is very excited about being on staff with both Men's basketball programs. His primary role will be lead assistant with the VIT program in their first year. Coach Williams will also support Coach Morrow and his staff throughout the year during games and in recruiting. 

"I'm absolutely blessed, what an opportunity to be on the ground level of a new up and coming program. The game of basketball has been a huge part of my life coaching on this stage allows me to serve young men, watch them grow into college graduates and one day men with families of their own. It's an amazing feeling!!!"

Williams was the Head Basketball Coach at Lincoln West High School in Cleveland for three years upon joining the Lakers staff this season. Coach Williams spent 10 years as a high school coach in Cleveland. Four at Lincoln West High School (3 years head coach and 1 year as lead assistant), six years at Jane Addams (1 year head coach and 5 years as lead assistant).

Coach Williams is a USA Basketball Certified Coach, he holds a degree in Sports and Exercise Science along with a certifications in Personal Training and Strength Coaching. He is currently working on a second degree in Physical Education and Health. 

Outside of basketball he has coached football, volleyball, and track. Coach Williams is the Director of Ohio Elite Athletics providing AAU track, Muny Football, and youth wrestling for youth in the city, he hopes to continue to expand to other sports.
