Men's Basketball Wins Final Regular Season Game
Reed Leads Offense With 33 Points
The Bryant and Stratton men's basketball team won their final game of the regular season, with a twelve point victory over OCCAC opponent Sinclair Community College. Fans were able to enjoy seeing the heart and soul of the team, De'ray Menefield on the court for meaningful minutes. Menefield had been sidelined with a leg injury as of late. Bobcats led at half with a score of 44-32. Sinclair kept pace with BSC in the second half, but was not able to overcome the first half deficit. The Bobcats' offense was efficient tonight; they shot better from the field (55% to 45%) and the charity stripe (60% to 40%) than the home team SCC.
De'Sean Reed led the way offensively for BSC scoring 33 points. Greg Thurman added 23 points with seven rebounds.
Regular season play is now complete for Bryant & Stratton. With the win last night, Bryant & Stratton holds a 13-11 win, loss record. Notable wins include over ranked opponents Columbus State, and Lakeland Community College. The highlight of the season was a notable seven game winning streak.
