Bobcats Hit 5 HR In Game 1 Win; Mark Luke Tosses 2-Hit Shutout in Game 2 Victory
Bobcats score 10 of 14 runs in final 2 frames to secure win in six innings over Edison St in Game 1. Mark Luke fans 6 and allows 2 hits in 10-0 victory to clinch DH sweep over the Eagles.
Bryant & Stratton (OH) finally made it's debut on Cisar Field and did not dissapoint.
Game One
Sophomore P Will Price got the knod for game one of the doubleheader. The Eagles of Edison State Community College jumped out to a 2-1 lead to end the 1st inning. He would settle in, only allowing 2 more runs the rest of the game to give him a final line of: (W 4-1) 5.0 Innings, 7 Hits , 4 Runs (1 Earned Run), 4 Walks, 4 Strikeouts. Will improves to 4-1 on the season.
Bobcats offense exploded for 5 home runs in the contest, 2 off the bat of Sophomore Seth Lahocki. Including game one, Lahocki is 8-15 with 3 HR & 11 RBI in the last 4 games. Sophomores Brendan Hamlin, Sawyer Bryner and Freshman Darius Ensley all finished with a HR, multiple hits and RBI's. Sawyer's 2-run home run in the 6th inning sealed a Bobcats mercy rule victory over Edison 14-4.
Game Two
Freshman Kalayo Shaw lead off the bottom of the 1st with a home run and the Bobcats never looked back. Kalayo finished the game 2-4, 2 RBI, 2 R, HR.
Sophomore P Mark Luke was outstanding in his second start of the season. He allowed only 5 base runners in 5 innings pitched. He picked up his first win of the season and has struck out 6 batters in his last 2 starts. His final line: (W 1-0) 5.0 Innings, 2 Hits, 0 Runs, 2 Walks, 6 Strikeouts.
Ensley countinued his hot streak with a season-high 3 hits including a double. Darius has 6 hits in the last 3 games.
Freshmen Brody Puchmajer and Jack Amis finished with multiple knocks a piece as well
The win improves the Bobcats win streak to 6 games. The Bobcats move to 11-7 overall, and 7-1 in conference play.
