Late Charge By Commodores Not Enough Against Bryant & Stratton Bobcats

November 30, 2022 - - The Lorain County Community College men's basketball team fell to the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College, 85-82, Wednesday evening. The Commodores made a charge at the end but ultimately fell short in their first Ohio Community College Athletic Conference contest of the season.

LCCC cut the Bobcat lead to four points, 78-74, after a Lem Payne (Philadelphia, Pa./Mount Pleasant) three pointer with 1:05 left in the contest. The Commodores trailed by as much as 11 points with just under five minutes to play.

Brandon Fisher (Strongsville, Ohio/Columbia HS) led LCCC in scoring with 19 points on 5-for-7 shooting from three point land and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Payne finished with 14 points (seven coming in the final 95 seconds), had three rebounds, and three assists. Traevon Fann (Garfield Heights, Ohio/New Day Academy) and Quante May (Cleveland, Ohio/Horizon Science Academy) also scored in double figures with 11. May and Jayden Roberts (Wellington, Ohio/Wellington HS) both had six rebounds.

The Commodores stay on the road this weekend for a match up with Edison State Community College at 1 p.m.
