Meet Shane MacDonald
SOLON, OH- With basketball season right around the corner, Shane MacDonald is ready to take on the season head on.
Born in the United Kingdom, and growing up in France, MacDonald is ready to be a Bobcat. He has been in the United States for over a year.
"The food tastes different, stores sell different products and the mentality and architecture is different," he said.
MacDonald will go into the season coached by Dwayne Morrow, and adds that he is excited to join and be part of Bryant & Stratton and what they have to offer. MacDonald is also looking to learn from others during his time here.
"I am very excited to attend Bryant & Stratton because I feel that I have been given an opportunity to be better and learn from people who have been where I want to be in basketball as well as education."
As for what he wants to accomplish, MacDonald mentions his willingness to continue to compete and to be a better student athlete.
"The one thing at the end of the year I hope to accomplish is to be a better student-athlete that is not afraid to compete with anyone." MacDonald explained. "As far as athletics I have always dreamt of becoming a college basketball player at the highest level possible."
Finally, what attracted him to Bryant & Stratton was his ability to continue his basketball career.
'What attracted me to Bryant & Stratton college is the basketball, I feel like anyone would be integrated as long as you are passionate.' He states. "I like that even though I am a foreigner I am still attending the school like any other student and I am not left out."
