Bobcats Drop Nail biter at Macomb
The B&SC Bobcats fell just short of their first win of this season against the Macomb Monarchs dropping the matchup by a final of 63-62. Destinee White led the way for the Bobcats finishing with 21 points while shooting 8-12 from the field, Abby Spalding finished in double figures as well with 18 points. Rebounding was the name of the game as the Monarchs out rebounded the Cats 54-35 scoring 21 points off of second chances while B&SC was limited to just 2 points off rebounds. Game flow was all Bobcats from the jump as they outscored Macomb 18-8 in the first quarter, but the script flipped in the second quarter as the Monarchs came charging out to take a 28-22 lead into halftime. The slim 6 point lead at the break would prove to be enough in the second half as the Bobcats outscored Macomb 40-35, but came up one basket short in the end to the final score of 63-62. The Bobcats will be back in action this weekend as they will play Lakeland and St. Clair at the Skippers Tournament hosted at St. Clair Community College.
