Cats Earn Second Victory of Season
Castrilla, Castro, score in double figures to help lead Bobcats to victory over Oakland Community College
SOLON, OH- The Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats were victorious for the second time this season, defeating Oakland Community College 70-51 at Ursuline College on Saturday afternoon.
The Cats would go on to outscore the Raiders 42-22 in the second half, which would help propel them to victory.
For Coach Dwayne Morrow's team, John Castrilla had a team-high 13 points. Carlos Castro was impressive as well, scoring 12 and dishing 3 assists. Joel Mora had a game high 10 rebounds and added 8 points and dished out 5 assists.
Gabriel Green and Cole Henry combined for 16 points total.
Castrilla knocked down three shots from beyond the arc, and he was able to shoot with confidence due to the trust and belief his teammates have in him.
"The past few games my shot has been off." Castrilla said. "So my teammates just kept telling me to shoot it, and they just said don't get in your own head."
The Bobcats had 26 points in the paint and never let the Raiders lead get beyond 6 points.
Bryant & Stratton has now improved to 2-10 on the season, and will look to keep the momentum on their side as they visit Jackson College in Jackson, Michigan. Tip-off is set for Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 PM.
