The Knights are part of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
"Back to the 502!" Brite said in a tweet. "Always been a dream of mine to play college baseball in my hometown. Thanks to all the coaches, friends and family that have helped me along this journey."
Recently Brite struck out 12 batters, without allowing a single run, in a 5-0 victory over the Terra State Titans.
Bobcats head coach Jake Plata thinks highly of the newest Bellarmine Knight and stated that, "Country (Brite's nickname) is the kind of guy that looks you in the eye and gives you his all after every outing." Plata said. "He is a great human being and a pleasure to be around the last two years."
Plata went onto congratulate him on playing ball in his home town. "Acheving his goal of playing D1 ball in the state where he grew up playing baseball is a true success story of the junior college process."
Brite will look to finish this season strong with the Bobcats, and will then have the opportunity to don the scarlet and silver for the Knights in the 2024-25 season.
