It is official! Bryant & Stratton set to field NJCAA DII softball program for 2021 spring season. The Bobcats softball program will participate in fall softball of 2020. Heading the program is Tricia Matune. Tricia Matune currently serves as an Admissions Representative (Athletics) for the Solon Campus. Tricia came to the college from the Jackson-Milton School District where she served as the District's high school Head Softball Coach and a second grade teacher. Her experience includes high school Assistant Softball Coach, pitching instructor and basketball coach. Tricia attended Shepherd University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. As a pitcher for the college's softball team, Tricia earned numerous accolades including First Team All-Conference, All Region and the team's Most Valuable Player. Tricia also possesses a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Youngstown State University.
BSC has campuses throughout the country and Ohio. The softball team will run out of the Solon Campus.
Discussions are underway with local fields and facilities and an announcement will follow in the short term on where the Bobcats softball team will call home. Bryant & Stratton is committed to investing in the program for long term. They compete at the NJCAA DII level. Athletic scholarships are available.
